Biggest Challenges Faces Black Teens Today??

Today’s teenagers, particulary African-American and Hispanic, are faced with many challenges that continue to hinder progress in practically every conceivable notion of the “American Dream.”  I feel we’ve come a very long way and I think we are progressing in the right direction, for the most part, but we’re still climbing an uphill battle.  So what do you see as the biggest challenges facing African-American and/or Hispanic TEENS today?

  1. They’re in a bad generational situation. Their generation is the immediate gratification generation. Unfortunately, their generation exist during one of the greatest economic droughts of all time. Also, this generation, is not used to discipline and they can’t handle it when someone gives them redirection. So they are almost lost looking for the easy way and disobeying authority. Another problem, is that being dumb is cool, so you have a generation of black males that can’t read, speak, think, work, and getting to the point of not being able to reproduce. They’re killing themselves left and right, and its like a badge of honor.

  2. we’re relaunching Black TEEN Radio to address this very question, yet, of greater importance, discuss, determine and deliver better ways to help more of our teen generation achieve in school and life . . .

email me at, for more details . . .

    thanks and love !
